LG History in Art
Join the LGAA for the opening exhibit reception for Winnie Childers’ works. This exhibit will feature a variety of paintings Winnie has done over the years based on places and events from Locust Grove history.
Jan. 9, Wednesday
LGAA Gallery, 114 E. Main
Meet Winnie and see her art and visit about LG history with her and others.
The painting in the photo above is of the old LG train station which used to be near the Ranch House.
The exhibit will be on display through March with some of the paintings changed out during that time.
In May, the LGAA will have a LG Family Heirloom exhibit, which we hope Winnie’s exhibit will inspire. We want to feature clothes, objects and memorabilia displayed artistically and accompanied with stories, anecdotes or poems. We would love to have you bring items for this display.
This show will run from Jan. 9-March 31. You can visit anytime the gallery is open or if it is not open, see someone at Wonder City Coffee to let you in.
