The Locust Grove Arts Alliance began in 2014 and has since then been growing and expanding its programs and outreach. We continue to strive to highlight the artistic talents of all members from children to the elderly in our community and to enhance the imaginative and creative potential in people’s lives.
To date, the LGAA has been responsible for the following projects and events:
Production of a monthly full-color newsletter about town events
Founder’s Day Art Show & Sale
Tulsa Youth Ballet Performance
In an Instant Photo Contest & Show
Handmade Holiday Ornament Contest & Show
Beans & Bingo Event
Annual Christmas Window-Painting Contest
Annual Chalk Art Contest
Ceiling Art Tiles in our building from community members
Fresh Paint Days
Superhero Costume Contest
Fall Art Tour of Homes
Holiday Home Tour
Town Mural Restoration
Tellabration
Teacher Liaisons/Sponsorships and Scholarships
Scholarships for art students
The all-volunteer membership also sponsors numerous workshops and events throughout the year where people can participate in artistic and creative endeavors.
We exist solely on donations and ad revenue from our monthly newsletter. In 2017, we moved into a physical home at 114 E. Main, and we are more able to offer events, workshops and opportunities to our community now.
We primarily need support for the following:
- Utilities, insurance, taxes, and upkeep of building
- Art supplies, materials and instruction costs for free arts workshops and events
Please consider making a donation of any amount to help us with our mission:
The LGAA is dedicated to contributing in a positive way to our community and the world by making a difference through the arts.
